The Following characters are rewarding when increasing your lifetime score: Unlockable CharactersĪdam (Streets Of Rage 4): Beat Stage 4 in the main story. ![]() Adam is the only other character that has a modern art style apart from the four starting characters. The characters earned this way are classic characters from previous Street Of Rage games. It is worth noting that you can start unlocking characters upon earning more than 200,000 points. The more points you earn, the more characters you can unlock. The Lifetime score is the accumulation of points that you earn by playing through each level. The other characters are unlockable by playing through the Story Mode and increasing your Lifetime score. In Streets of Rage 4, there are up to 17 characters to play as but only 4 of them are available from the start. He’s been left out of the crew’s adventures for long enough, but I think they could fully even it out by at least giving us some of Adam’s perspective.By Mike Scorpio DotEmu, Lizardcube, Nintendo, Nintendo Switch, Sega, Streets Of Rage 4, Streets Of Rage 4 Game Modes, Streets Of Rage 4 Unlockable Characters I think this could both expand the Streets of Rage universe, and re-establish the fact that Adam is one of the main three characters of the franchise. I really like the idea of Adam having his own cast-not just of allies, but personal antagonists as well. And of course, you can use the opportunity to flesh out the cast a whole lot more with original characters. And for the second “Adam game”-during SoR4-you could have Estel join his supporting cast sometime after she comes to her senses regarding her misplaced support of the Y-Twins. You could even draw inspiration from the Streets of Rage 3: Adam’s Story mod from Remake and have Max as a part of his supporting cast for his POV of the third game. And I know that Remake exists, and I’m super thankful that it let Adam join Axel and Blaze in the fighting, but that sadly only half-counts due to the game not being canon or official in the series.īut even this leaves some potential-Adam could get two “gaiden” games, both with him as the main character and seeing what the events of 3 and 4 were like from his perspective. He literally only dives in to knock back the cops surrounding our heroes, hugs his daughter, disappears for the whole rest of the game and doesn’t show up again until after the climax has been resolved. Adam finally got his playable status restored in the main series, but he was only used as a deus ex machina in the story. Hell even in a (admittedly obscure) mobile remake of the first game, Adam was relegated to a tutorial guide rather than a playable character. Forced to be the damsel in distress in 2, unplayable in 3 despite investigating the nuclear bomb fiasco just like the other characters, and he wasn’t featured in the 90’s British comic adaptation of the series. Barring the very first game in the series, the dude keeps getting done dirty to some extent. Not only does it make the most sense, but he just deserves it, honestly. I think Adam is easily the best fit for this, out of all of the cast members. I gave my two cents, but upon some more consideration, I realized something: the fifth (and sixth) games in the series could be a spin off duology. Recently just saw a post discussing a potential Streets of Rage 5, and what it would ideally contain. ![]()
